Reading Between the Numbers

Most people see financial statements as raw data. We see them as stories waiting to be understood. Our courses help you decode what companies really say when they report earnings, debt levels, and cash flows.

Why Learn Fundamental Analysis?

When I started looking at companies back in 2019, I thought earnings per share was the whole story. It wasn't. The real insights come from understanding how different metrics connect with each other.

You know those quarterly reports everyone talks about but nobody reads? They're actually full of useful information. Cash flow statements tell you whether a profitable company actually generates cash. Balance sheets show you if debt levels are sustainable. Income statements reveal margin trends over time.

Learning this isn't about becoming a Wall Street analyst. It's about making informed decisions with your own investments based on what's actually happening inside the companies you're interested in.

How We Structure Learning

Our September 2025 intake takes a different approach. Instead of memorizing formulas, you'll work with real company filings from Australian and international markets.

Start with Real Documents

You'll analyze actual annual reports from companies like Woolworths, BHP, and Commonwealth Bank. No simplified examples or theoretical scenarios. Just the same documents professional investors read.

Build Pattern Recognition

After reviewing dozens of financial statements, you start seeing patterns. High revenue growth with declining cash flow? That's a signal worth investigating. Increasing debt with flat earnings? Another important indicator.

Practice Comparative Analysis

The best insights come from comparing companies within the same industry. You'll learn to spot operational differences, capital allocation patterns, and competitive advantages by examining multiple businesses side by side.

Develop Your Process

By the end of our program, you'll have your own analytical framework. Not someone else's formula copied blindly, but a process you understand and can apply to any company you're evaluating.

What Past Participants Say

Linnea Österberg course participant

I took the autumn 2024 program after getting frustrated with investment advice that never explained the reasoning behind recommendations. Now I can look at any company's financials and form my own view. The course didn't make me an expert overnight, but it gave me the tools to keep learning.
